Meet our new recruit to the Elite Team: Aimee

Elite Clinical Management employ a wide range of people in a number of different roles, and each and every person plays a vital role in our success. Our team are an invaluable part of who we are as a company, and we wouldn’t continue to grow and succeed without them; that’s why we’d like you to meet them…

Over the coming months, we’ll be introducing you to some friendly faces who will give you an insight into their roles at Elite, and also into their own lives and career journeys.

Our first employee to tell all is Aimee our latest recruit, who is a Medical Secretary with many years of healthcare experience.

In your opinion, what’s the best thing about working in the healthcare industry?

It’s the people element that I like the most. I enjoy speaking to new people every day, and I also enjoy working with the consultants. It is also knowing that I am part of the team that ensure the patients get the help and support they need. The fact that we help to make these (sometimes) very stressful situations go as smoothly as possible gives me great job satisfaction.

I have been working in a hospital and healthcare environment now for over 15 years and to be honest, I’ve never envisaged myself doing anything else.

What does your daily role look like?

I work very closely with the consultants so my day will be reflective of their workload, and I try and structure my day accordingly. My first job is to make sure any enquiries that we have received overnight are dealt with as a priority.

I will then look at other administration tasks including dictation typing, liaising with patients, collecting payments and providing information and support to the consultants as and when required. It is always varied and that’s one aspect I really enjoy!

If you were a consultant, what would you specialise in?

I would be a cosmetic/reconstructive surgeon. I find the before and after results really interesting and love how you can really help a patient build their confidence perhaps after trauma or with any insecurities they may have. The work that goes into helping the patient feel confident and build their self esteem is amazing.

What is the best thing about working for Elite Clinical Management?

Honestly, as cheesy as it sounds, the team! They really are a great bunch of people, so friendly and everyone is genuinely good at what they do. These things combined make working for Elite a pleasure! That and the really nice coffee they supply!

Tell us something about you…

I was born and bred in Chester, I am very lucky to live in such a beautiful city. I have two wonderful boys and when I’m not working I am busy having fun with my family and socialising with friends.

From all of us at Elite, welcome to the team Aimee, it’s great to have you on board!
